Waratahs lure former forward back from Japan

The NSW Waratahs have continued their recruiting campaign, luring versatile striker Jed Holloway to Sydney on a two-year deal for super rugby.

“I’ve wanted to be a Waratah since I started playing rugby. The team gave me a huge opportunity 10 years ago and I’m very grateful that they are now ready to take another chance with me, “said Holloway.

” Both the Waratahs and I have a lot to do prove next year, but I think we have everything to make it a reality.

“I’ve learned a lot from some great people in Japan and I’m excited to join the team and get started. p>

“DC (Coleman) has nothing but success on his record, he’s a proven cultural worker.”

Holloway’s signing follows the Waratahs retention this week with exciting backs Alex Newsome, Mark Nawaqanitawase and Lalakai Foketi.

Foketi and Vice-Captain Newsome will stay until at least the end of the 2022 season, with Nawaqanitawase being signed again for another two years.
