Grimes talks new album, TV show, gaming culture vs stan culture in new interview

Experimental pop artist Grimes has talked about her new album, her TV show and how gaming culture is “less toxic” than Stan culture in a new interview.

The artist sat down with Billboard to talk about their recently launched Discord Chat Server Grimes Metaverse Super Beta after posting a promotional video for the community messaging platform – on the also Danny DeVito , Awkwafina and J Balvin . Check it out below.

Regarding her relationship with Discord and the gaming community who use the platform frequently, Grimes said, “The more I get into the gaming community, it’s a lot less toxic than the indie music stan community. “

” Everyone will laugh at me when I say gaming culture is less toxic than indie stan culture, but it’s true, frankly, to have lived in both extensively. ”

Grimes went on to reveal details about her upcoming album, saying,“ It’s quite different ” on her 2020 drop, ‘Miss Anthropocene’.

She’s already teased some of this new music and will be previewing more new tracks tomorrow (July 25th) when they do the afterparty for the Australian festival, splendor in the grass ‘virtual iteration, Splendor XR .
